Can I read this? Can you bring back the other book that you were reading that I snuck up on?

Is there a term for that? Picking up a book that someone is in the middle of reading and starting it so that you have to compete for posession? Obviously, the first reader gets it back promptly when they want it, but if they're not actively reading then the second person can snatch it up and read some more. Readnapping? Booknapping?
