Ok, this is a challenge to myself.
First, in the month of June I will make at least 1 post a day related to my areas of SCA research.
Second, I will push myself to do something with herbs at least once a week. :)

Date: 2009-06-01 08:13 pm (UTC)I have always wanted to learn more about herbs in the SCA period (other than for cooking - I know a fair bit about period cooking already, though now that I'm getting more active in the SCA it's an area I want to delve into further), but I haven't the slightest clue where to start. Any suggestions?
Books to start with

New York, The Metropolitan Museum Of Art, various printings
Or, you can check out the books by Rosetta Clarkson and Eleanor Sinclair Rohde. I'd suggest Clarkson's Green Enchantment and Magic Gardens both of which were also published under their subtitles. Very readable, if dated.
