From the clueless publisher department

To endorse Google's library initiative is to say "it's OK to break into my house because you're going to clean my kitchen," said Sally Morris, chief executive of the U.K.-based Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers. "Just because you do something that's not harmful or (is) beneficial doesn't make it legal."

Uh? Ms. Morris? I'm not sure everyone follows your analogy...

Hell, if they'll start on the living room, too, I'll make 'em dinner. (Hey, for cleaning the Tiny Apartment with 2 People and 2 Libraries, they should really get more out of it than an old computer and a 12 inch TV.)

This is a classic case of "does the end justify the means?" discussions. I understand her concerns, but I had to read a fair bit to get a decent view of the bigger picture. Her sound-bite really isn't effective.
