1. World peace (hey, a girl can hope)
2. A clean, organized house (ditto)
3. public support for libraries
4. Ex-lovers out of my mind
5. My friends to all have enough money to live on
6. A clue for George W
7. the love of my friends
8. healing of broken friendships
9. to do good research
10. Joy

I'll add two more:

11. Acceptance and tolerance for *all* groups and *all* points of view, including agreeing to disagree.
12. For the people in this country to have *civilized* discussions over their differences and *not* fights, beatings, and/or killings.
