I don't think so, but then I don't work in a library and I often enjoy reading it. On the other hand I worked in a library as a teenager and have worked in several bookstores.

Well, if it is, the niche is more than library workers -- so much of it translates to any office -- and much else translates to any retail!

As the only male (until this past July)in a department of 16, I know that feeling.

And it really makes me wonder about the placement of my work station...the closest one to the water cooler ;-D

The closest I have come to being a librarian is being a summer "Teen-Team" member when I was 13, but I know enough librarians and have worked enough public service jobs that I still find it hilarious. I read it pretty much daily.

I don't think it's "niche-only", at least not for those of us who are avid readers. I'm not a librarian and I follow (and enjoy) Unshelved regularly.

I think it is a niche comic, but the niche is more like "booklovers" or "library supporters" than it is library workers.
