My daughter has a Fisher Price Happy Family house my father got her one Yule, and she loves it. Of course, various Star Trek and superhero action figures also live there *snrk*. We'll never mind my amusement at the fact that because of the sets she got, she only wound up with 2 fathers, but 4 or 5 mothers... and she just went with it *hee*.
She does also use various bits from around the house for additional furniture, food, etc. While I had a traditional doll house, I also tended to make additional buildings, dolls, and accessories out of found items, cereal box cardboard, etc. I think my daughter, who is nearly 8, would enjoy making SCAdian dolls and taking them to events :-).
