some veggie references from Olearius

From The travels of Olearius in Seventeenth Century Russia. Translated and edited by Samuel H. Baron. (Stanford, CA: Stanford University Press, 1967), p. 50. It refers to events in 1634:
"An old monk from the [Nikoly na Posade] monastery (which had only four friars) appeared and welcomed the ambassadors with radishes, cucumbers, green peas, and two wax candles. . . . When we sat down in a grassy meadow to dine (the surroundings were so pleasant that we did that daily), the monk came up to us again with a large radish and a full cup of cucumbers."
