Depends on teh non-period ness of it.
A hot dog stand selling cokes & chips? Not so much.

A hot dog stand with a period setup? Why not?

We all have coolers in our tents and plastic bags keeping the cheese from getting wet.

No cotton candy though. Cheesy. Even funnel cakes gets a little on the Renn fair side of life.
