2:41. I have finished about half the ginger syrup. I think.
I have 3 kinds of comfits that need to be packed up.
I have made mustard, and come to the conclusion that the recipe in the Harpestrang manuscript wants you to measure the mustard AFTER grinding it. Because:
3 cups mustard seed, measured THEN ground
1 cup honey
about 1/3 cup anise
about 2/3 cup cinnamon
and enough vinegar to thin it (about 8 cups)

doesn't have enough honey in it, nor enough cinnamon.

So I'm adding more honey (about 1/2 cup) and more cinnamon (about 1/4 cup) and going from there. MMmm. Much better.
