Frighteningly, this week there have been occasional undocumented sightings of the top of my kitchen/dining table. This clearly means that the time has come to sweep everything off it, and start doing the things for which I was cleaning...

First of all, I have this half-case of apples that clearly needs to become applemoy. Also some citrus fruits that need to be peeled to start the candied peel process. The lemons will also become lemon syrup, I think.

Then I need to go through the mess that is my herb/spice stuff and retrieve the components of my spice box (the box itself got trashed at Pennsic and clearly needs to be replaced) and my mustard kit.

Of course, I still need to finish all the other tidying/putting away, cleaning, filing and everything else.

Plus I want to make bread.

I wonder if you can freeze pears in wine sauce....
