Wierd librarian analogies

One of my colleagues was referring to the fact that a good proportion of our library-using students are actually "baby graduate students." Then someone else was talking about the rivalry between some professors and the librarians, that professors think they can teach everything the students need to know, etc... and all I could think of was:

"I found a nest of baby graduate students up in the Cornell room, but you know if you touch them and their advisor smells librarian on them, he'll abandon them, so there was nothing I could do."
