Another jenne slang dictionary meme entry

Five MORE words I use in conversation that I have to explain to most people:

  • Frum: strictly observing the orthodox Judaic rules for behavior. For instance, frum women will never bring margarine to the table unwrapped, lest someone look in through the window and see them apparently using butter at a meat meal. Colloquially, by extension, frum can also modify other religious sects, such as frum Mormon or frum Dianic; frum XML.
  • Wifty-farkle or Woofty-farkle, sometimes shortened to wifty: fluffy spiritual (or magickal) behavior lacking in a solid theo- or thealogical basis. Not to be confused with treehugging. Does not have to be sweetness and light; vampirism as a religion is also wifty, just dark-wifty.
  • flat caps or hats, of a driver or drivers: elderly men who drive eccentrically and slowly, often in the left lane, to the annoyance of other drivers. Stolen whosale from the Bagthorpes series.
  • Hedgehogging or hedgehogging about: stolen again from the Bagthorpes. Bustling around giving the impression of doing a great deal of work and not accomplishing much.
  • Christian Ritual Abuse: family or child abuse in which a wacko uses nominally Christian ideas and scriptures to justify/structure his abusive behavior. Similar to the myth of "Satanic Ritual Abuse" but much easier to document.

*laughs* That's funny-- I usually use Q-Tip to refer to those outrageously thin women whose heads look too big for their bodies.

I use "lollipops" for those. :-)
